The elderly woman was stuck in the gutter amid rising flood waters in Huizhou, China's Guangdong province on May 24. The woman was treated in hospital and then taken home where she is said to be recovering.

Passersby who have rushed over to help can be seen trying to hold her head up as the water rises.
The villagers and firemen can be seen trying to use tools to break the ground to free the woman.
After some time the woman is freed.
She was taken to hospital to receive treatment and is said to be recovering at home.
